I am a graduate of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. My painting is inspired by the works of the old masters, and I use traditional painting techniques in my work.
In my work, I combine conservation knowledge with painting and create still lifes inspired by Dutch paintings from the 17th century. I pay great attention to materials. I use oak boards and traditional smooth mortar based on rabbit glue and chalk. In my art practice, I reach for pigments and paints of the highest quality standard, depending on specific requirements, I make my own paints. The technique that I use is based on multiple lasered layers. The process of creating a work takes from 3 to 6 months.
